Serving the diverse interests of the donors that have funds at the Wayne County Community Foundation means supporting a wide array of programs and non-profit organizations. Funds in the WCCF can be classfied into eight fund types:
- Community
- Scholarship
- Donor Advised
- Corporate Advised
- Field of Interest
- Agency
- Designated Funds
- Administrative
Many funds in the WCCF operate as perpetual endowments, distributing only their net income, while others distribute principal. Distributions may occur at a specific time set forth at the funds' creation or at the suggestion of the fund advisors.
Some funds honor the memory of a loved one, others commemorate a special event in the donor's life. Additional contributions to all the listed funds from family, friends, or other community members are always welcome.
