WorthyWorks Award Guidelines
The WorthyWorks Award:
- The WorthyWorks Award is sponsored by The Wayne County Community Foundation, in collaboration with the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce, to acknowledge and recognize the important contributions that Not-For- Profit members make to their community.
- The award includes $1,000 to the organization to
pursue its mission.
- The grant award will be presented at the annual Chamber banquet on April 27, 2010.
- The grant recipient will be notified by March 30, 2010.
Nomination Criteria:
- Any not-for-profit organization (as determined by the IRS) that is a member of the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce is eligible for nomination of the WorthyWorks Award.
- Nominations may be made by any member of the community, including staff, volunteers, friends, and recipients of the organization's services.
- Nominations may be made by more than one person.
- Nominees will be evaluated based on any of the
below impact criteria.
- One award will be presented per year and the
previous yearŐs awardee is not eligible for nomination again.
- Mail or deliver all nominations for OACC/WWA, 132 S. Main St., Orrville.
- All nominations must be received no later than
March 1, 2010
Impact Criteria:
- The review board will consider nominations that
demonstrate the not-for-profit organizationŐs long lasting commitment to
the quality of life in the Orrville community.
- The review board will consider nominations that
show evidence how the not-for-profit organization was active in
contributing to the betterment of the community of Orrville.
- Special consideration will be given to those
organizations with projects or services that took place in 2009.
