The Women's Fund was established to impact the lives of women and children in Wayne County, Ohio by directing resources to organizations that support the education of women and empower change and self-sufficiency.
The Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF) is pleased to announce the 2019 grant award from The Women’s Fund. Based on the evaluations and recommendations from The Women’s Fund Advisory Committee, the WCCF Board of Trustees approved the following grant award:
The Village Network received a $16,000 grant to implement a therapeutic yoga program for the girls at EFAS Park House, an extension of their Wooster Residential Campus.
This is the fifth competitive grant cycle of The Women’s Fund, with a total of $86,000 awarded to benefit women in Wayne County, since its inception in 2013.
The WCCF is a not-for-profit charitable community organization established in 1978 to accept contributions, create and administer funds, and make grants for the benefit of the people of the greater Wayne County area. The Foundation has awarded more than $78 million in the form of grants and scholarships from its 448 separate funds. Donations to provide greater future grant opportunities can be made to The Women’s Fund, a component fund of WCCF, by individuals, families, businesses and service organizations. The Women’s Fund grant guidelines and online application are available at www.waynecountycommunityfoundation.org.
