GIVE 365 Wayne County, the dollar-a-day philanthropy initiative of the Wayne County Community Foundation, is accepting grant applications from area nonprofits. The theme for this year’s grant cycle, as voted on by the GIVE 365 membership, is “Mental Health and Wellness in Our Communities”.
Now in its sixth year, GIVE 365 unites and informs emerging philanthropists to make a collective impact on Wayne County, Ohio. Members donate $365 a year, pool their money with others, and vote on both an annual grant making theme and grant recipients. GIVE 365 gives members the chance to actively participate in the grant process.
The 2022 grant will fund programs or projects that address issues affecting the mental health and wellness of Wayne Countians. While it is up to the nonprofit organizations to present programs, examples of populations being served include students, frontline workers, or the homeless population. All grant applications should respond to this theme. Grant application must be completed online at www.WayneCountyCommunityFoundation.org by noon on March 1st. The membership of GIVE 365 will review all applications and make their recommendation to the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Organizations may be asked to meet with the membership of GIVE 365 to respond to questions about their proposals.
With over 100 current members, comprised of individuals, couples, and families, GIVE 365 will grant approximately $21,000 this year, with additional funds set aside in a permanently endowed fund for future growth.
